How to report spam.
forward all of your spam to submit@spamarchive.org
We now have someone to help us fight! Support Project SpamArchive.org
There are only 3 steps you have to take to fight spammers.
1. When you get spam, view the headers:
Viewing email Headers in MS Outlook Express or Internet Mail
Viewing email Headers in Netscape Messenger
Viewing email Headers on AOL
Then copy and paste the entire message including headers into a reply.
You want to keep the re: spam message
2. Look at the headers, but disregard the from line.
Spammers do not use their correct email address.
We have to find them by the company they used to get online.
Here is what a header looks like from a spam I got and
reported to yahoo who then canceled
that users account.

Here, the only mail server we can complain to is yahoo because the other is located in Japan and they don't care.
3. Send the copy and pasted spam, including header to abuse@yahoo.com in this case.
Look up mail server by doing a traceroute search with this form:
IPs can also be traced if no text shows up, ie: 210.235.74.89
Build a better mouse trap and the world will beat a path to your door, or website in this case.
